Darley Dragons 2011 – SWIM TEAM

Welcome to the 2011 season.  This year we will compete in the “B” bracket
of the NBSL.  A big Darley welcome to our  2011 coaching staff:

Mr. Eric Scheivert, Ms. Leah Adams, Ms. Liz Amand

All have extensive swimming experience, are lifeguard certified and
have a great love of the sport.

We look forward to a visit from our friends from Tatnall for our “friendly” fun meet.
Points don’t count, but times will count as entrance times.

Practices:   Starting Monday June 6,  4:00 for the older kids, 5:00 for the younger kids.
Morning practices will start when schools are out- tentatively Monday, June 20th.
Older kids at 9:30 AM (the first 30 minutes are optional); and younger kids at 11:00

Registration:  Registration and parent meeting will be held Friday, June 3th at 6:30 PM.  
Our suit this year is a Speedo, royal blue with the Darley Logo
and is available from the Swim Shop.
They will put the logo on while you are at the shop.

Fees: $25 per child for the first 2 children, 15 each additional child.  
Plus an additional $25 fundraising fee per family.

In order to qualify for champs, children must reach specified time standards set by the league. If your child
doesn't qualify for champs, they may go to prelims to try to get qualifying times. We must send a list of
volunteeers that will work at prelims. If your child is going to prelims, please consider volunteering. If your child
qualifies for prelims, I will be contacting you about volunteering. The same will hold true for Champs. We must
send volunteers to both these events or our kids can't go. Also if your child does not want to go to preloims or
champs, please make sure the coaches know this before they are entered. The swim team picks up the cost of
each child that goes to prelims and champs. We pay even if they decide not to show up. Every year we end up
paying for kids that don't show up.
